How did it all begin?
Pawmates started with a simple observation: finding reliable pet care can be challenging, especially for owners of pets that fall outside the traditional dog and cat categories. As pet owners ourselves, we experienced firsthand how important it is to find someone you can trust with a beloved companion. We also noticed that many pet owners faced other challenges, such as finding safe, private outdoor spaces where their dogs could run, play, and exercise. Not everyone has access to a backyard, and crowded dog parks aren't always the right fit for every dog. We created Pawmates to bring pet owners and trusted caregivers together in one place while also providing access to unique services like private backyard rentals. Our goal is to make quality care, safe spaces, and trusted connections accessible to pets of all kinds, helping build a stronger community of pet owners and animal lovers.
